Rhythm of Change

5-minute-friday-1Linking up with Five Minute Friday today! The Challenge is to Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking. The Subject is one word: Rhythm

Go.

This thing called rhythm is supposed to be steady, unchanging. Always the same. Like the beating of a drum, a metronome.

But life is not like that. You never know when it will change. And so I find myself in a different season, a season of change that I did not go seeking. But alas, it is here.

One moment I am half-way around the world living the life of a missionary, reaching out to others, giving, loving and serving. Then I am back in the States spending my days on the couch in pain and limited mobility.

But in all things God is faithful. He never leaves us without a ministry, without a calling.

He speaks to me.

“Write.”

Write?

“Write.”

And the ministry begins on the outside. And the healing begins…on the inside.

STOP.

Wonderful! Would love to know where you were and all about it! I am heading over to your blog to find out. I was distracted this morning after posting by a call from my dear missionary friend in Warsaw, Poland. She face-timed me right after I posted and I was so “cheered-up” by her call. (Think I just created that phrase!) What a coincidence to both be in this season! I miss Latvia and the people very much although I know this is where I am supposed to be…for now. Thank you so much for sharing. I would love to get to know you better! Blessings. ♥

Candace Jo, thank you for sharing your changing rhythm with me through your blog. I’m stopping by from FMF and glad I did. I too lived overseas and find myself at “home” (ha!) for an unexpected season. So did another person I just read on FMF. May we all find the rhythm of the journey God has planned for us, even on these unexpected turns. God bless you.

“He never leaves us without a ministry, without a calling.” I’m so glad that even in the midst of difficulty you’ve been able to find a way to continue your ministry, albeit in a new way. Stopping by with Five Minute Friday, and happy to find you following your calling.
