Day 6 of the #31dbc! So excited about today’s post because we are talking about Another World!
What makes you unhappy in this world?
What are you dissatisfied about in your life right this very minute?
Do you find yourself unsettled often?
Maybe it’s not anything in particular, nothing you can actually put your finger on?
You might even be able to say things are going really well, life is good!
Then you think outloud; “Why am I seemingly uncomfortable here?”
“I don’t feel like I belong anymore.”
Sure, there is the violence, the profanity; X-rated innuendos forced upon you at every turn, all of those are disturbing, even disgusting and downright exhausting.
But it’s more than that.
Maybe I can help you.
C.S. Lewis said it really, really well for us.
Hmm…You mean we don’t belong here Mr. Lewis?
Right, we don’t belong here at all; we are just passing through, friend.
There was another man that was just passing through and He said it even better than Lewis.
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” John 15:18-19 NKJV.
We do not set our hope in this world alone, the Bible says not to lay up our treasure down here.
We are to work, we are to take care of our family, we are to love, laugh, play, learn, build, dream and most of all win souls to Christ!
But He also told us that He was coming back for His bride that was without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, and that this earth would pass away.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18.
So look up, child of God!
There is something, everything, to be hopeful for!
You are a child of the King if you have been washed in the blood of Jesus!
If you do not know Him, today is the day of salvation, do not let another day go by without bowing your knee before the King of Kings.

Enjoy this video from our last service today here in Riga, Latvia! We head back to the States tomorrow. We have had a wonderful time reconnecting with the Latvian people and getting to know the new faces in the crowd! God is doing great things in the Church here, we are so excited to have been a very small part of the work and we will miss them all over again. Here they are singing “Here I Am To Worship!”. I have to add one thing here. Most of all, I long to be in God’s presence and see His sweet face, forever and ever. HE is what I look forward to seeing when I reach the other side, I know there will be loved ones there, but I want to see Jesus! Jesus is what will make it Heaven for me.
The singing is beautiful, it’s so nice to see and hear a little bit of what is happening there.
I often feel like I just do not belong here, I was not made for this world, I really dislike it at times. I long for a better place, where no more tears will dim the eye… the body will not grow weary and we won’t have to make a living.

Yes .. I often feel out of place and ready to go “home”. This life can be wonderful, but I dream of the perfection and love and joy that lies aheads for us. The constant yearning as Paul say’s. Glad to know I’m not the only one who feels this way at times .. 🙂
