I Pray Because…

The #31dbc is winding down! It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Tennessee. Heading to Sunday morning worship, I hope you were able to be in the House of the Lord today! He is worthy of our Praise! I took these beautiful pictures of the windmills just north of Lafayette, Indiana. There are more windmills in that area than I have ever seen in my life! I thought I would include them with my C.S. Lewis thought I made today… I Pray Because… I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Aren’t you so thankful for prayer? To be able to converse with the Creator of the Universe! No matter what your need, any time of the day or night, you can call on Him and He will be there.

I love the following C.S. Lewis quote:

I pray because...hopeinthehealing

I can’t help myself!! I just have to call His Name! The Name above ALL NAMES…JESUS!

I Pray because I am helpless!

How many times have we been helpless? But we need not fear because we can PRAY! He is there, He is as close as the mention of His Name!

And I Pray because the NEED flows out of me…ALL THE TIME!!

Have you had the Lord awake you out of sleep just to pray? Something urgent and you felt you needed to pray? You didn’t know what it was but felt someone was in trouble? Or maybe you just awoke in the night and couldn’t go back to sleep and wanted to talk to the Lord? There is no better time than the still, quiet hours of the morning to have communion with the Savior!

Whenever you pray, however you pray, just PRAY!

Make sure you have a relationship with Jesus, that you KNOW Him and He knows you! That’s what it is going to take to spend eternity with Him. And that’s what it takes to have peace in this world today friend. Peace that passes all understanding.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6,7 ESV.

I had a very specific prayer answered tonight in a blessed way. I never expected the answer so soon and so completely! God shows us such love.

Yes, He’s all that counts, all I/we can trust. We can love many, trust many, rejoice in and with and for many… but He is the eternal IT. The only One Who can be prayed for in/with forever.

    Thank you.

Nothing to feel guilty about Audrey! He wants us to come to Him when things are uncertain! Your trial drew you closer to the Lord and that is a wonderful thing. He is our only security in this life and all our security for eternity! Blessings! ♥

I love this C.L. Lewis text. I feel guilty about it, but I found that I started praying more when my life became uncertain which made me very fearful for my future. Through all of this, I discovered that I really do like praying because it helps me to feel calm and secure in the fact that God’s will is being done.

Thank you Joanne! Carol, of Scripturesquegraphics has been making all of my images for me for several months but desperately needed a break. I am thinking she chose a good time during this 31 day challenge!

I can only make graphics if I have a picture, on Pic monkey, and thankfully my hubby and I travel a lot so I have quite a few pictures here in the States and overseas. The one with the C.S. Lewis quote I actually took with my iPhone out the window while he was driving! Hey, it works once you cover it with text! Lol.

Thankful for the power, wish I had thought of that! 🙂

Love your windmill photo. I just drove through the windmill farms of KS and am thoroughly enchanted by the site! Thanks for the reminders of why we pray.

This is a beautiful post! I am so glad to have read this today! And it is a beautiful matching of the quote & the photo of the turbine. I thought to myself….I pray because much like the turbines provide power, prayer also brings power. Have a blessed Sunday!

    Dear Nannette
My youngest son who is studying mechanical engineering at the Nelson Mandala Metropolitan University had to design and build a scale model of one of these wind turbines. He made a small mistake with his design, but that made the turbine work even better! You know, dear friend, I cannot but pray or talk or have quiet communion with my Beloved for no other reason that I love Him so very much and He loves me as if I am His only one! Like C.S. Lewis said we cannot help praying.
    Blessings XX
    Mia
